Microscopic plastic particles contaminate drinking water
Drinking tap water around the world is likely to contain tiny plastic particles according to research conducted at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and the State University of New York. The research was sponsored by nonprofit Orb Media.
Of 33 tap water samples from across the United States, 94 percent tested positive for the presence of plastic fibers. 1
India came in second with 82 percent of samples tested positive followed by Uganda 82 percent, Indonesia 76 percent and Europe at 72 percent.
