School Shooter: North American Tour 2012

If you don’t believe your child or young teen would be influenced by video game violence then how about that kid that got kicked out of school  last week.

A little entertainment break from the weight of the world.  Turn it up a little and if you’re in the office, remember, no dancing on the desks.

Government by social media

Government by Twitter and Facebook seems like a fair representation of what people want.  Government by Twitter provides a well thought out and discussed platform for government to follow – – – NOT!

And a political vacuum leads to a “the strongest will survive” government.   Government then proceeds to consolidate its power.

“. . . And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around me
. . .
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again
Don’t get fooled again
No, no!

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss”

-Written by Peter Townsend of the rock band “The Who”

Was Peter Townsend writing about Egypt, The Mideast or governments in general?  Currently, it seems that this song’s ideology was written specifically for the Egyptian people.

Egyptians overthrew the dictator Mubarak without having pre-planned a strong constitution or government framework.  The democracy that followed was hastily thrown together and failed to provide a fair government.

Social media is responsible for the coordinated Egyptian populace – but it is certainly not a vehicle for governance.
